The Chido stool was designed for the confined environment of city living. Chido aims to fashion the perfect balance between contemporary and traditional manufacturing processes by embodying the nostalgia of classic interlocking wooden joinery techniques, combined with a hybridised super light-weight concrete top (made in rural Victoria), derived from that of a CNC machined form - Thus finding an equilibrium between man and machine. Chido’s one-bolt ‘pull-down’ construction enables it’s user to easily disassemble and stow-away it’s ensemble when not in use, or when space is of demand. The ‘Chido’ collection includes a high stool (650), low stool (450), and a tea table (750).
